Joker: Folie a Deux is a stinker. Let’s call it like it is. I haven’t even seen it and I’m angry. The first Joker was amazing. It’s legitimately one of my favourite movies. So to follow it up with a movie that scored the lowest Cinemascore rating in comic book movie history is SHOCKING!!!

The movie opened to $40 million domestically. Less than half of the original Joker. Here’s the kicker. The sequel cost three times the original to make. Luckily it made around $120 million internationally saving it somewhat. But it is still a box office bomb of epic proportions.

From what I’ve heard, many people have walked out of the movie. It’s a musical. Dramatically different than the first. Not only that, it’s two and a half hours of musical. SHOOT ME NOW!!!

I feel bad for even blogging about this movie months ago. Giving readers any sort of excitement almost seems like an act of cruelty at this point. Listen, I’m all for artistic freedom and twists on originals. But this…this seems like Todd Philips was getting high on the scent of his own farts.

So I’d like to apologize. If you went and saw this movie because of my excitement either right here or on air, I’m sorry. I will never get excited for another movie again in my life.
