Jasper’s Road to Recovery

Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper was a Success!

A Community Rebuilt

The success of the Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper stands as a testament to the spirit of community and compassion that emerged in the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Jasper National Park. This event today showcased an extraordinary display of unity and generosity from people across Alberta and beyond. Today, we celebrate this remarkable achievement and extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to the cause.

A Day of Unprecedented Support

The Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper was an extraordinary response to the catastrophic wildfires that swept through Jasper National Park, leaving behind charred landscapes and displaced people and wildlife. The event, spearheaded by radio stations, businesses, and individuals, aimed to provide immediate relief and long-term support to the affected communities.

The outpouring of support was nothing short of phenomenal. Through online donations, text contributions, and local initiatives like the Alberta Bottle Drive, people from all walks of life came together to make a difference. The current fundraising total stands at an impressive $518,482—when combined with the provincial and federal government matching funds, the estimated total impact reaches an astonishing $1,555,446! And this isn’t the end; bottle depots across Alberta are still tallying donations, promising an even greater impact in the coming days.
