Stoners will be in all their glory this Easter with it falling on 4/20 this year. This is the ultimate day for anyone who loves to spark one and pig out on sweets after the munchies kick in.
Don’t be afraid to really do it up big this coming Sunday either, Easter doesn’t fall on 4/20 too often. The last time was in 2014, and you might never see another one because the next will be in 2087. So splurge on the weed and chocolate, life’s short.
When it comes to choosing the top chocolates and candies to devour once the munchies kick in, here’s a small list of the “creme” of the crop candidates:
Cadbury Mini Eggs – The perfect balance of chocolatey goodness and a satisfying crunch. The pastel colours are a nice touch too. I’ve never met someone who said these were gross, and if I do, we’ll never talk again.
Cadbury Creme Eggs – Messy? Yes. Sticky? Yes. Delicious? Damn rights. Not to mention, they have an Oreo flavour which would pair well after a nice doobie. Pro tip: throw these in the freezer for a little bit to enhance the experience.
Solid Chocolate Bunnies – Sure, every time you bite a chunk off you fear you’re going to break a tooth, but these are about as classic as it gets. If you really want to utilize this OG, chop one up and “bake” some chocolate chunk cookies.
Peeps – No. Just no. These belong in the trash.
Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs – Chocolate and peanut butter, the best of both worlds. Just make sure if you are eating these, you’re not sharing a joint with the friend who’s allergic to PB.
It’s kind of a shame you almost have to sell a kidney to buy chocolate this year, but trust me, you’re going to want all the sweets you can get your hands on this Easter if you plan on hanging with Mary Jane. Also, once the burnout starts to kick in later that night and you want to relax and watch something while you munch out, my suggestion is Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
This is going to be a bad weekend to be chocolate, sweets and some waistlines.
