“Adolescence” has premiered on Netflix just in time for a weekend of binging. The show is making headlines not just for it’s unique aspect, but it’s extremely difficult filming concept.

It’s an old fashioned idea. A murder mystery. However, it doesn’t follow from the aspect of the victim or law enforcement. It follows from the aspect of the young kid accused of murdering the victim. BUT…the craziest thing about the show is…it’s all shot in one continuous shot!!

The whole series was shot with such precision and timing. Cameras were orchestrated to hand off to each other without takes. Sets had to be close together so actors could get to them in as few steps as possible for continuity sake. Actors rehearsed intensely to get everything down.

What came from it? Actors that were locked into their craft without distraction. A product similar to a play with immediacy for the viewer. Check out the trailer:
